My 12 string Martin has lower action than my Jag, way easier to play in my opinion. I'm sure any other electric would be easier still though

Just want to say thanks for emphasizing the importance of practicing with a metronome. It was stressful at first, but when you get it right, the metronome is rockin, not just clicking, and it becomes really fun.

The problem i found with learning all of the shapes is that the internet gives you all kinds of different shapes for one a major scale, and then i don't know which shape i should learn. I don't really know if i should just don't give a shit or that i should try and figure out what the best shape is of the a major scale.

Each mode, is just the major scale, starting on a different note, from that same major scale.

good example how to play like "textbook style" everything is theory and strict, no notes that are out of scale or out of key, none of that

My answer is “it takes as long as it takes you” everyone learns differently and has different amounts of time they want to dedicate. Everyone’s definition of good is different. I know bar chords, the minor pentatonic scale and a few riffs. For what I do that’s enough for me. At least right now
